As the material Fluent programmewhich is a CFD code was used. Both the advantages and disadvantages of CFD codes werereported and the model which is more suitable than 12 models in the way of safeguarding.In the first section; the information about the content of study and spillways was given.In the second section; the research is done by using CFD codes all over the world wasanalyzed in articles.In the third section;, the information about hydraulic counts of spillways was given.In the fourth section; the information about CFD code and Fluent program waspresented.In the fifth section; it was reported that the models used in the study boundaryconditions, operating conditions and numerical modeling.In the sixth section; rate of velocity and pressure which is got at the end of the studywere given.In the seventh section; the conclusions we had got from the study were reported andModel 1 commit in the way of its safeguarding in the other models.Key Words: Spillway, CFD, Fluent, Ogee, VOF, Numerical Modeling, NumericalAnalysisI
