Abstract (EN)
In the study it was observed that leno weaving systems were not adequatelyrecognized and this was regarded as a problem, it was aimed to prepare a source forthose interested in the issue and to enhance the opportunity of design at the armuredlooms used at the departments of design preparation in education and at businesses.At the end of the study;In the study, the weavings with the system of leno weaving were examined andthe applicability of this system to the armured looms was also studied. Theenvironment of the study consists of the literature and the businesses where lenoweaving are used at the production, and as sampling, the literature and businesses inthe city of Ankara were taken, also where and how the leno weaving were used wassearched, then earlier experience was applied while practicing it into the armuredlooms. Within the context of the study, libraries and business, and the textiledepartments of the universities in Ankara were benefited.1) Weaving was redefined and classified2) Leno weaving were classified and their designing methods were revealed,besides the areas of usage were clarified3) The opportunities of their adaptation to armured looms were examined. It wasdetermined that the system of steel wired leno weaving could be adapted, andweaving samples with various features were studied.4) The challenges and solutions were presented
