Abstract (EN)
The aim of this thesis is to clarify the matter of identity characteristics to be known in order to prevent the loss of building identity in restoration. Accordingly, it is subjected to provide information to be used and required by the teams undertaking the restoration of buildings. The identity characteristics of a building is based on location, style and architecture. Therefore, the matter of style that is mostly encountered in the urban restoration is mainly focused on in the thesis. Inthisrespect, thepresentedthesisaidstopreventthehistoricalstructuresfromidentilylosswiththedrawnconclusions. The thesis also recommends the modules for the history of art and architecture need to be thought in the departments of restoration along with the technical modules.
