Abstract (EN)
Increase in population, migration, etc. by environmental factors affects negatively the urban construction. Increasing urban construction causes impermeable surfaces such as concrete and asphalt to spread over large areas. These impermeable layers create infiltration loss in rainwater and prevent it from passing underground. The rainwater that cannot be transferred underground, causing floods in cities and loss of life and property. In this study, in the selected study area within the Zonguldak province where urbanization is intense, the rainwater drainage system was modeled using the EPA SWMM program. LID are integrated to the this model, the effects of these methods on surface flow and peak flow rate were examined. Sustainable solutions have found to the uncontrolled surface runoff in cities. In this study, Low Impact Development (LID) methods defined by the EPA SWMM program; The model designed by creating a scenario in which green roof, rain gardens and rain barrel methods were used, was examined in a 25, 50 and 100-year return interval rainfall situation. In this developed scenario, the change was observed in the peak flow value at the outfall points of the discharge lines created in the model. When the change in flow value is examined; When the 25-year return interval rainfall situation is examined, it is seen that as a result of the integration of the flow values at the outfall points defined in the model and Low Impact Development (LID) practices, these values are; At the H1 outlet point, the maximum flow amount decreased by 21.12%, at the H2-H3 outlet point, the maximum flow amount decreased by 26.15%, at the H4-H5 outlet point, the maximum flow amount decreased by 24.32%, at the H6 outlet point, the maximum flow amount decreased by 45.85%. It was determined that the maximum flow value decreased by 25.30% at the H7 outlet point and the maximum flow value decreased by 37.83% at the H8 outlet point. When the 50-year return interval rainfall situation is examined, it is seen that as a result of the integration of the flow values at the outfall points defined in the model and Low Impact Development (LID) practices, these values are; At the H1 outlet point, the maximum flow amount decreased by 21.90%, at the H2-H3 outlet point, the maximum flow amount decreased by 25.86%, at the H4-H5 outlet point, the maximum flow amount decreased by 24.27%, at the H6 outlet point, the maximum flow amount decreased by 45.71%. It was determined that the maximum flow value decreased by 25.18% at the H7 outlet point, and the maximum flow value decreased by 37.84% at the H8 outlet point. When the 100-year return interval rainfall situation is examined, it is seen that as a result of the integration of the flow values at the outfall points defined in the model and Low Impact Development (LID) practices, these values are; At the H1 outlet point, the maximum flow amount decreased by 22.01%, at the H2-H3 outlet point, the maximum flow amount decreased by 25.40%, at the H4-H5 outlet point, the maximum flow amount decreased by 24.20%, at the H6 outlet point, the maximum flow amount decreased by 45.59%. It was determined that the maximum flow value decreased by 25.06% at the H7 outlet point and the maximum flow value decreased by 37.88% at the H8 outlet point. In the model where Low Impact Development Methods were integrated, it was observed that the peak flow value at the outfall points of the discharge lines decreased. This methods have an environmental friendly approach to controlling the flow.
