Caricature as thinking tool : Caricature based applications for technology project providers

Years of 2000's can be defined as " the IT century". In this IT century, it is seen that digitalization creates new concepts and approaches and it even affects our daily lifes. Changes have seen on different areas of art both on style and contentment with digitalization. In this study, the purpose is to underline digitalization, to investigate its effects on world of cartoon which are caricature, humor and the articles and to comment on what digitalization brings. In the digitalized world, it is aimed to present caricature as a way of thinking and develop a caricature based model in accordance with today's digital drawing style. Applications are conducted with YTU Technology Transfer Office Incubation Center and Nerde Ne Zaman Art and Culture Web Platform. Two examples of the work carried out representing all technology manufacturers which becomes one of the aims of this work and thesis. In the world and Turkey cartoon, animation and storyboards' studies have been analyzed with scanning wide range of the literature. Thesis is composed of original digital artworks that manufacturers can be evaluated in print and digital media by technology manufacturers and it is intended to be of quality that will contain clues about its corporate identity. We believe that this work will be guiding and referred by other related studies as its potential on bringing different solutions to problems of industry as a model for technology and technology based project providers.
