Abstract (EN)

Religious emotions that can be defined as feelings and excitements accompanying emergence of faith in people play an important role in shaping invidiual religious life. While emotions and excitements give direction to religious life, the religious life occupies a great space in person's emotional life. Basic emotions and excitements showing up along with religious experiences gain a characteristic towards this direction. This study deals with the questions "whether belief has an emotional character and about the origins of religious feelings in human beings". At the same time, factors cause the basic emotions and excitements gaining a religious dimension are discussed. In this context, studies in literature of psychology have been examined and some elements of emotion in the holy texts have been discussed. As a result, human came into the world with a sublime predisposed structure to believe in but some factors such as family, upbringing and education causes to manifest and emerge. At the same time, role of emotions in the experience of person's religious belief was pointed out. Whenever the cognitive, emotional and behavioral processes of religious life are together, then it's gained a holistic sense of the religious experience.
