Abstract (EN)
Technology, which has become an integral part of today's world, greatly affects and transforms our lives. The relationship between human and computer, the development of mobile devices and the diversity of mobile applications are all part of this transformation. Technological developments enable mobile devices to be highly equipped and applications to constantly renew themselves. Mobile applications, which are part of the digital age, are tools that touch every aspect of modern life, lighten the workload, integrate entertainment, information and many benefits into our daily lives. Today, there are variations of mobile applications developed in various fields in every category, and one of the most preferred ones is the applications developed on e-commerce. Mobile applications are an important tool for e-commerce businesses and users. However, developing and maintaining a successful e- commerce mobile app requires careful planning and management to ensure a good user experience and security. Especially in e-commerce applications, the complexity caused by the excessive use of text makes shopping difficult. Using the right typography makes it easier for users to examine products, read information and ultimately make a secure purchase. In addition, the selection and use of icons that save space on mobile screens and have a universal language helps e-commerce applications to be user-friendly and functional. The harmonious use of icons and typography in e-commerce applications especially positively affects the user experience. In this thesis, the design process of mobile applications developed in the field of e-commerce is discussed and analyzed in detail in terms of icons and typography. Solutions to the problems encountered are produced and suggestions are presented through a current e-commerce application.
