Abstract (EN)
Aim: In this study, it was aimed to determine the job satisfaction of midwives and nurse health managers in Diyarbakır province, to test and interpret the relationship between job satisfaction and the established hypotheses. Material and Method: In this study, the universe consists of midwives and nurse health managers working in hospitals affiliated with the Diyarbakır Provincial Health Directorate. The simple random sampling method was used in the quotation method in the sample. The Information Form containing demographic and professional questions and the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale were applied face to face to the individuals. A total of 72 midwives and nurse health managers out of 98 people who agreed to participate in the survey responded. Results: No statistically significant difference was found between the variables of gender, age, profession, education level, having children, working years, and working years as a manager and job satisfaction scores. A significant difference was found between the management positions in terms of the job satisfaction variable. It was found that the job satisfaction averages of the participants in the unit floor manager and supervisor positions were significantly higher than the participants in the administrative unit responsible group. When the obtained scores were examined, the average value was 3.37, which was below the sufficient value of 3.5 to indicate satisfaction, but above the indecision point of 3. In this case, it can be said that the participants had partial satisfaction regarding job satisfaction. Conclusion: In order to increase the job satisfaction of midwives and nurses in healthcare, it is of great importance to strengthen their perception of organizational support, distribute their workload fairly and balancedly, and encourage their participation in clinical and administrative processes.
