Abstract (EN)
The fact that childhood has an important place in the psychological and social development of the individual is accepted by many experts today. One of the theories that provide explanations about childhood, which holds an important place in the majority of psychology theories, is the Parental Acceptance and Rejection Theory (EKAR). The theory is based on the basic assumption that all people in the world need to get warmth from the people who are important to them. It has been suggested that acceptance or rejection by parents affects the emotional, behavioral and social-cognitive development of children as well as their psychological adjustment in adulthood. The fact that parents' attitudes towards their children are healthy depends to a large extent on their peace, stability, peace and love and respect for each other. One of the factors that affect this environment is the way that parents interact with their parents during their childhood. Every mother or father can behave in a different way against children, either knowingly or unknowingly. Some children are loved, some are being printed, some are unwelcome children and some are more tolerant. All these types of attitudes affect both the moral and social development of the child in a positive or negative manner (Yavuzer, 1993). This research was conducted to investigate the relationship between parental acceptance rejection and family life and child rearing attitudes. At the same time, parental acceptance rejection and child rearing attitudes will be examined in terms of some variables. The sample of the study consisted of 140 individuals selected from parents who have children in the 0-18 age group who work in Bayraklı Courthouse in İzmir. The Personal Information Form prepared by the researcher was used to collect information about Parental Acceptance and Rejection Scale, Family Life and Child Rearing Attitudes Scale and some variables. The data obtained within the scope of the research were analyzed with 22.0 Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Compliance with normal distribution when making statistical evaluations of variables, Shapiro It was checked by the Wilk test. In cases where conformity to normal distribution is provided, analyzes have been carried out with parametric tests. Non- parametric tests were performed in cases where normal distribution was not provided. As a result of the study, it was determined that parental attitudes, gender, age, education level, occupation, socioeconomic level, number of children owned, number of siblings parents have, and whether parents receive support in child care were affected. Furthermore, it was found that their parents' acceptance and rejection were related to their own child rearing attitudes.
