Abstract (EN)

Recently, researchers and scientists have made many detailed researches about brain machine interactions. The studies based on brainwaves applied to all area from health to education day by day. Alpha waves, disappearing as opening eyes between 8-12 Hz, have found by Berger. Alpha waves are generated by the brain in the case people are comfortable and eyes are closed. Beta waves are electrical activities between 12-30 Hz. People are under control of beta waves in daily life. In angriness, anexity and excitement situations, frequency of beta waves increase. At first, EEG is used only medical area in order to diagnose the illness. In later times, due to more electrodes and complexity, there is a tendency to wearable sensors and mobile devices. These sensors are used firstly in order to increase responsibility of people having less physical ability. This process is based on brain-machine interaction. Brain-machine interaction is not only based on medical perspective, but also there are lots of applications in the other areas. This technology is called brain-computer interface (BCI). BCI is one of channels controlling and working external devices and providing interaction between digital medium and the brain. Working of sensors and mobile devices are based on interface technology with EEG principle. Detected brain signals are debugged in MATLAB or C# medium and mental activities are interpreted. In this study, Neurosky MindFlex EEG biosensor is used. A wireless communication based on bluetooth is ensured between the biosensor and computer via a interface developed in C# medium. Students enter the interface by using their own user names and passwords and select the subject among the courses previously loaded by the instructor. The students are studying while wearing the biosensor. Meanwhile, sensor measures the brainwaves, number of twinkles, meditation and attention level continuously. Afterthat, an examination is made to the students and the success are evaluated. There is a directly proportional between attention and meditation levels of the students and success. In this way, the deficient subjects of the students are determined easily. Programs can be made in order to increase the success. Cares of the students are different to each subject. Therefore, studies in different format can be made especially for the subjects are firstly taught.
