The effect of artificial intelligence on design oriented thinking in high schools

Today, as artificial intelligence (AI) continues its rapid progress, the use of AI in education has become increasingly evident. The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of artificial intelligence on design thinking in high schools. In order to evaluate artificial intelligence identified through the pre-analysis, a quantitative research approach utilizing a literature review as the research design and approach was used, which effectively facilitated the realization of the study purpose. Artificial intelligence is characterized by learning, cognitive abilities, many decision-making capabilities and adaptability. It is a field of study that resulted in computers, machines and many products with human-like intelligence, and the innovations and developments that resulted from this field of study. The study found that artificial intelligence is widely adopted and used in education, especially by private and public educational institutions in different forms. In this study, a gender-balanced sample of 360 instructors was recruited and the General Attitudes Towards Artificial Intelligence Scale (GAAIS) was used to assess the relationship between the benefits of artificial intelligence educational applications and students' propensity for design thinking.
