Abstract (EN)
Hamstring injuries are a frequently recurring problem in elite and recreational sports, often resulting in long-term absence from sports. The reported injury rate varies depending on different injury mechanisms and athletic populations; however, the reported prevalence in the various codes of football, to which most of the literature relates, is generally between 8% and 25%, with each injury resulting in a 2-6 week absence from the sport. Although studied as a subject of much research, the injury risks and best types of treatments for hamstring muscle strains are not fully understood. Our study aims to measure the effect of treatment programs including eccentric and concentric exercises on the recovery of elite athletes with hamstring strain grade II injuries. There are many factors that make our thesis more valuable than other studies; One of them is to apply different types of exercise groups to elite athletes and examine their effects on recovery. In addition, our dynamic balance assessment after hamstring strains is different from previous studies in terms of the results it reveals before and after treatment, before and after eccentric exercise and concentric exercise programs. In our study, the number of treatment sessions for pain, flexibility, muscle strength, balance and return to sports were examined and compared. As a result, it was determined which exercise group was more successful or indifferent in the return to sports in elite athletes and shed light on the rehabilitation process in subsequent athlete injuries. We compared the two groups using the Wilcoxon test for continuous variables. P values <0.01 were considered significant. Parameters <0.01 were found to be significant for return to sports in both groups.
