Abstract (EN)
Employee retention is a highly discussed topic in the management of an organization. Employee retention not only reduces recruitment and training costs, but also promotes a more stable and experienced workforce, leading to increased productivity and customer satisfaction. Some studies have been done in this area, among these research significant results have been found regarding the impact of motivation on employee retention. This study focuses on the impact of encouragement on employee retention and shows how it affects organizational culture. In order to be competitive and increase its productivity, a company must find a way to retain its current employees and attract new ones. Primary data were collected from 203 private sector employees in Antalya, Turkey, through an online questionnaire, and structural equation modeling and Jamovi program analysis were used for the analysis of data. Findings suggest that encouragement and organizational culture positively influence employee retention. It is also identified that organizational culture is mediating the relationship between employee encouragement and retention. Therefore, perceived organizational culture mediates the relationship between employee encouragement and employee retention among private sector employees in Antalya, Turkey.
