Abstract (EN)

Although that the emergence of China as a new power in the world system in recent years has been tried to be explained by the democratic state administration of the West, the liberal economic system, the distribution of sovereignty with the help of alliances, and transparency, China's geopolitical understanding is based on different principles. Just as people take into account the physical conditions and judgments while making decisions about their lives, states also apply to their geography and management philosophies when forming their policies. This study aims to examine how successful the dominant views and theories in the field of geopolitics can be in explaining Chinese geopolitical practices and how history, philosophical beliefs and spatial perception affect China's geopolitical understanding. In the research to be carried out, it will be tried to put forward a new and different perspective other than the classical evaluations on Chinese geopolitics. But to what extent these theories can be sufficient to explain the geopolitical understanding of a country like China, which has been on the road to global domination in recent years; this will be that thesis' primary subject in question.
