Abstract (EN)

Our natural resources are decreasing day by day due to the increase in our population and consumption. This situation has made recycling one of the important issues in recent years. Most of the substances considered as waste in the world are recyclable materials. The amount of recycling in the construction industry is very low. Recycling these materials using them is both beneficial for the economy and minimizes the harmful effects on the environment. The modification of soils with additives is in some cases more economical than other soil modification methods. Recently, the use of industrial waste materials for this purpose has come to the fore. In this thesis, it was investigated how waste tires and aerated concrete wastes are used as additives in improving the engineering properties of clay soils. As a method, in this thesis study, Unconfined compression tests and CBR tests were applied by adding powder tire waste and ground aerated concrete in different proportions to clay soils. As a result of this thesis study, it has been determined that the use of powder waste tire additive and ground aerated concrete additive on clay soils provides an increase in the strength properties of clay soils.
