The research on the impact of EFQM excellence model on job satisfaction

Towards the end of the 20th century, the enterprises started to seek various ways to increase their performance, managerial efficiency, productivity and quality levels on behalf of the competition with other competitors. The efforts to develop quality and management systems revealed different methodologies through the expertise gained over the years. The companies which carry out these methodologies have become successful and documented these achievements according to different criteria and they have also used these documents as prestige factors. It is obvious that all these activities are impossible to be carried out without qualified and willing employees. The quality of the employees are focused on by the companies day by day and it is understood that the companies can find creative ideas for future of their companies with satisfied employees, and these employees can achieve success as a result of focusing their work and working unselfishly. Within the scope of the work, the satisfaction or dissatisfaction of employees in a company which carry out EFQM excellence criteria in the consequence of the means applied within the scope of the model and the relationship of employees with the job satisfaction are scrutinized. The application is worldwide known and a structured questionnaire technique including the EFQM Excellence Model criteria and the Job Satisfaction Scale was applied to the employees of this plant operating in Manisa of this foundation which adopts the excellence criteria as a role model. The questionnaire was applied to 61 people and the results of this questionnaire were evaluated using statistical methods. According to the results of the research, it is seen that the structuring of the processes based on the EFQM excellence model criteria is positively associated with the job satisfaction of the employees.
