Abstract (EN)
In this study, sequential dam-break in an inclined channel was investigated experimentally and numerically. Experimental data were obtained both using image processing technique and ultrasonic sensors. Numerical analyses were made through FLOW-3D and DualSPHysics which based mesh analysis and Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) approach, respectively. The ability of numerical methods on chaotic hydraulic problem such as dam break in an inclined channel was investigated by comparing the experimental data. The comparison between numerical and experimental results was made through depth versus time graphs at five measuring points. Two cameras with different specifications are used for the image processing method. The experiment was recorded with these two cameras simultaneously. Experiment footages obtained from two cameras were compared to investigate the effects of the camera specifications and positioning on the results. Numerical data are generally in good agreement with the experimental data.
