Evaluating the career stages in terms of enhancing the quality in education and improving the status of the teachers (sample for the province Konya)

In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the structuring of Teaching Profession In the Shape of Career Stages in terms of enhancing the quality of education and improving the status of the teachers in the direction of the view of inspectors, teacher, and school managers. This study, in which qualitative and quantitative data collecting methods were simultaneously used, was carried out in mixed model. The population of the study consists of 17.278 people. Quantitative sample consists of 915 participators and qualitative sample consists of 30 participators. The quantitative data obtained from the study were solved through SPSS program. Whether or not there is any difference among the views of the participators was checked via one way variance analysis (ANOVA), t-test, Dunnet C, and LSD test. The qualitative data obtained from the interviews were solved by means of descriptive analysis. In study, based on the findings obtained from the quantitative data, those conclusions were reached: The positive effects of structuring The Teaching Profession in Career Stages on the quality of education in lower level. Structuring The Teaching Profession in Career Stages will raise the status of the teacher in lower level. The criteria based on going up The Career Stages were accepted in medium levels. The suggestions towards The Teaching Career Stages were accepted in medium level. In study, based on the findings obtained from the qualitative data, falloving conclusions were reached: This structuring will affect the quality of the teachers positively and negatively. But this effect will often be positive. Structuring The Teaching Profession in Career Stages will affect the status of the teachers positively. From the criteria about going up The Career Stages, while the criteria taking place under the heading ?Education? and ?Activities? were largely accepted, especially, ?The Examination or Career Stages? and ?The Mark of Employment Record? were not adopted. In The Teaching Profession in Career Stages, it has been seen that there were a lot of imperfectness and incompleteness. Granting the title to the teachers has some positive and negative effects. At the end of the study presented suggestions.
