Abstract (EN)
The aim of the research on trade union - management relations in education is to reveal according to the opinions of education managers, trade union managers and teachers the characteristics of the relations between union stewards, trade union managers, and education managers in education; and to determine patterns, determinants, areas and efficiency of interaction, conditions of interaction, levels of interaction, skills of interaction, and results of this relationship and how these change according to certain personal variables.In this research modelled as survey, among qualified research methods interview is used. Among intentional sampling methods among unlikely sampling methods, standard sampling is used. In 2006-2007 school year, 22 education managers, 26 trade union managers and 24 teachers that is 72 people in total are interviewed within the framework of the semi-structured interview protocol developed by the researcher.Interview data are analyzed using descriptive analysis and content analysis. Some of the research findings can be summarised as follows:1.Leadership and ideology as the internal determinents of the trade union - management relationship in education and law, economics and bureaucracy as the external determinents are predominantly talked of.2.Areas and efficiency of interaction of the trade union - management relationship in education are limited to traditional areas.3.The dominant patterns of the trade union - management relationship in education are conflict and cooperation.4.Education managers and trade union managers need training with regard to interaction skills.5.Although the trade union - management relationship in education does not respond to the expectations of the trade unions, it has useful results for education organizations and society.6.The opinions of education trades union managers and teachers who are members of the trade union are considerably similar; the opinions of these two groups and the opinions of education managers vary in various dimensions.7.In the findings of the research, the opinions of education managers, trade union managers and teachers vary according to personal variables as seniority in education management and trade union service.
