The traditional dances that are one of the major cultural values of societies are the collective products of the people belonging to that society. They occur as an ordinary action far from the fact of art starting over a theme belonging to the society without being planned . And by changing with the influence of various factors, they are transformed into a more and more complex structure.Since the traditional dances are faced with the threat of disappearing with the change and even abandonment of the cultural structure in time, new life areas are needed for the continuity of their existence. The traditional dances to transform into performance dances by being transferred onto the stage gain importance at this phase. During this transfer which is realized according to the watching needs of the contemporary audience, in order not to destroy or corrupt the cultural heritage, it is important to conceive the cultural values of the dances to be used and correct methods to be selected at the staging phase.In the studies to be made during this transfer, the staging and stage design elements which will ensure strengthening of the artistic expression and satisfy the watching requirements of the age must be used. And for these elements to be created without damaging the cultural identities of the traditional dances, they have to be applied by experts in their areas.The objective of this study is to emphasize within the direction of this information that stage has many design elements and the traditional dances which have always accomodated art in their esence to be transferred onto the stage in integrity by people who possess the accurate knowledge and aesthetic taste and to evaluate the transfer studies in light of the `?Ekin??(Culture) shows.
