Abstract (EN)

Todays, due to the increase in energy demand, it is attached importance to the improvement and efficiency studies. Our country's dependence to energy and energy conversion instruments is a severe impact to our economy and wealth level. For this reason, we need to concentrate on this studies to reduce our external dependency. Turbines, which are a heavy burden on our country with its wide usage area and high cost, are one of the most important issues which lay weight on. Turbines are especially used in aircraft, ships and trains as well as nuclear, thermal and hydroelectric power plants. Even, gas turbines have begun to be used in the new generation trucks. To participate the new technology network and save us from a major external purchase, turbines should be considered as a national project in our country. In this study, parameters affecting the blade aerodynamics of the axial turbine used in gas turbines such as aspect ratio, solidity, flow coefficient, loading coefficient, incidence angle, inlet and outlet flow angle were investigated and the effects on the turbine performance were explained in detail. In addition, a solid model of a single-stage axial turbine with 13535 rpm, mass flow 34 kg/s, flow coefficient 0,8, loading coefficient 1,08, polytropic efficiency 87% was designed by CAD (Computer-Aided Design).
