The endeavours undertaken by institutions and individuals to foster the development and advancement of musıc and music are crucial for our country and for the transmission of culture to future generations. Cultural transmission sustains the vitality of countries and societies, and the significance of music in this endeavour cannot be overstated. Alongside state intuitions dedicated to preserving and transmitting cılture, voluntary music associations play a pivotal role in this process. The preservation of many enduring work throughout history has undoubtedly been facilitated by the establishment of master apprentice relationships and their subsequent transmission to future generations. It is evident that by presenting these works to the brink of disappearance. It is imperative to highlight the individuals and institutions undertaking this task and to establish them as exemplars by elucidating the works they convey to subsequent generations. In essence, our objective is to undertake this this task and to introduce Naci Sönmez, whose contributions to Elazığ music are significant, to examine the art institutions that he pioneered, and to explore the activites of these institutions, as well as to assess their contributions to Elazığ and its local music scene.
