Abstract (EN)
In recent years, with the advancement of technology, there has been a rapid increase in the production and use of electric vehicles in our country and around the world. Factors such as limited fossil fuel resources, environmental damage, and high costs for users have contributed to the growing interest in electric vehicles. Along with this increasing interest, critical issues in electric vehicle technology such as range, battery life, and charging time have gradually started to be addressed. The resolution of these issues has paved the way for other automotive manufacturers to engage in research and development in electric vehicle technology. In this context, extensive work has been carried out on electric vehicle batteries, built-in charging devices, fast charging technology, and autonomous vehicle technology, leading to significant progress. In this thesis, three of the commonly utilized built-in charging device topologies in electric vehicles were selected and analyzed in a simulation environment. The outputs obtained from this analysis were used to compare the efficiencies, reliability statuses, costs and control algorithms of these topologies. Considering the anticipated further increase in electric vehicle usage in the coming years, it can be asserted that the amount of energy loss during energy transfer from the grids to vehicles may reach high levels. In this context, a primary consideration is the efficiency-based comparison of power electronics topologies selected for built-in charging devices. In the selection of topology, other significant factors that will be subject to comparison include system reliability, cost, and control algorithms. The reliability of the system is of paramount importance in terms of minimizing or completely eliminating the impact of faults originating from the topology on the other components of the vehicle. On the other hand, for the sake of low cost and ease of controllability, it is expected that the control algorithms of topologies should be as simple as possible. Finally, considering electric vehicles as commercial products, power electronics topologies used in built-in charging devices need to be cost-effective, similar to all other commercial products. In the thesis study, based on the examined designs and obtained results, topologies have been compared under these four main headings
