Abstract (EN)

In this study, taxonomic, morphological and ecological characteristics of the green algal order Cladophorales were studied from Erdek and around (Sea of Marmara, Turkey). The samples were made from 3 stations seasonally between May 2015 and November 2016. Sampling was done by hand or mask şnorkel directly from the upper-infralittoral zone. The collected samples were stored in %2-5 formaldehyde and seawater. The physico-chemical variability (pH temperature, salinity, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity), phosphate and ammonium of the stations were also measured. A total of 17 taxa (2 Chaetomorpha, 13 Cladophora, 2 Lychaete) were found belonging to the order of Cladophorales in the costs of Erdek and around. Cladophora liniformis and Cladophora vadorum have been reported for the first time from the Marmara Sea for in Turkey. It was observed that Cladophora species showed algal bloom in the summer season due to the effects of terrestrial dominance at Narlı and Edincik stations.
