Abstract (EN)

In this study, as a cultural science Turkish foklore is limited to the practices and bliefs of folk medicine in the province of Mersin, Erdemli under the titles of medicine guarrying and hunting which are the information about the nature and the World, which are examined with their unique theories and methods. The practies and methods related to folk medicine in the study area were compiled and classified and examined. The main attention of the field of folklore, the human being, has brought the folklore products that it has formed from the times when we have expressed the traditional oral rituals and practices to the present day through cultural inheritance and trasference. In this respect, the term folklore has been an interdisciplinary and transference. Branch of science that deals with the human being and thus the culture it creates. History, sociology, philosophy, psychology, chemistry, law, art history, veterinary, medicine and theology are examples of these disciplines. In addition to identifying the political, economic, technological and pyschological factors that change as much as the continuty of culture and to cause this change, analyzing is the justification of the field of folklore. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the connections and parallels of folk medicine tretment information, practies and beliefs with the pratices of pld Turkish belief system. In this study, very distinct traces of belief and culture structure in Turkestan area were identified. As a result, it was seen that the people werw born and grown up in the detection and tretment of diseases and sought solutions with the qualiities of the culture adopted by them, and transformed these cultural heritages when needed and produced and updated and usem them.
