Abstract (EN)

The aim of the study was to examine adolescents' psychological resilience, satisfaction and frustration of basic psychological needs, self-sabotage and academic motivation. The study group consists of students attending various secondary education institutions in Erzincan province center in the 2023-2024 academic year; It consists of 709 high school students from various grade levels, including 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades. Child and Adolescent Psychological Resilience Scale (CGPSS-12), Satisfaction and Frustration of Basic Psychological Needs Scale, Self-Sabotage Scale, Academic Motivation Scale and Personal Information Form were used in the research. Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient, T Test for Independent Samples, One-Way Analysis of Variance for Independent Samples and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis were used to analyze the data. According to the analysis; A negative significant relationship was found between psychological resilience and self-handicapping level, and a positive significant relationship was found between psychological resilience and academic motivation and basic psychological needs. While academic motivation and self-handicapping levels show a significant difference according to gender types; It was found that basic psychological needs and psychological resilience levels did not differ significantly according to gender types. In addition, as a result of the analysis, it was found that satisfaction of basic psychological needs, self-sabotage and academic motivation variables significantly predicted the psychological resilience variable.
