Ergonomic and functional bra design

Sports bras are designed to control the breast movements efficiently in the course of physical activity. Hereby with this study, there have been some further studies on analyzing and developing of the components of sports bras, which have become more significant for women while exercising. The purpose is to design a new sports bra prototype which supports the breasts of sports women well by means of design and the components used. After the literature researches, a new prototype bra has been designed and produced. Also, two different sports bras, which have well-known brands, have been bought. All three types of bras have been tried on by six different participants while both running and walking. After the trials, the participants have been asked to fill in our questionnaire. The statisictical analysis and results of the study are given in conclusion. Keywords: Sports bra, wearing trials, design
