Abstract (EN)

The story of the actions of gods who are considered supernatural and sacred is called myth or mythos. All of the myths belonging to almost every nation or community since the beginning of human history and the science based on the research of these myths are called mythology. Many myths have various narratives about the apocalypse. The branch of theology that studies these narratives and deals with the end of humanity or time is called eschatology. Although eschatological narratives are similar in many myths in terms of the path to the final end, they differ in terms of the way events occur. We can observe that each culture blends many facts from its geography and history within its own tradition. In the first part of our research, theoretical terminology was examined and an introduction to the subject was made. It consists of the main headings of mythology, eschatology and death, and a general framework has been tried to be drawn. In the second part of our research, the beliefs of the ancient Turks regarding death and life after death were examined, from the general to the specific, and it was tried to emphasize that the Turks had beliefs about death and the afterlife becoming Muslim.
