Abstract (EN)
SUMMARY Mentality is a very complicated and it is a huge subject. When it comes to Yugoslavia this subject becomes more difficult. Yugoslavia which was one country until 1991 has two mentali ties. There is one of many, two reasons for Yugoslav's departure: Southern (Eastern-Antie- conomic-lrrational) and the Northern (Western-Economic-Rational) mentalities. And when we look through the glasses of Marcel Mauss's (Oğuz Adanır) Totlatch Theory" we can see and find many new reasons for the departure of Yugoslavia. We can see this two different mentali ties and cultures in the Yugoslav films (cinema). Especially in the eighty's after death of Presi dent Tito. n
