Abstract (EN)

Pb-Zn bearing barit mineralizations around Doğanşehir - Eskiköy (Malatya) were investigated in this thesis study. In the study area, mineralizations are found in siliceous, barite and carbonate deposits at the contacts of metamorphic and volcanic rocks. In addition, layer planes extending to contacts are settlet in fault and fracture zones. Ore minerals are barite, galen, sphalerite and serusite-anglezite, fahlers and gold, and gangue minerals are secondary calcite and quartz are added as gangue minerals According to geochemical studies, the condrite normalized barit samples show that The Heavy Earth Elements (HREE) were enriched and The Light Earth Elements (LREE) were depleted. Fluid inclusion studies indicated that salinity and temperature was low during stages of barite precipitation (avg. 2.6 NaCl equiv.% and avg. 122°C, with respectively). On the other hand, the salinity and the temperature increased during crystallization of the sulphide precipitation (avg. 7% NaCl equiv and avg. 206°C, with respectively). The Pb isotope studies indicated that the 206Pb/204Pb ratios are change between 17.04-19.20, 207Pb/204Pb are 14.33-17.00 and 208Pb/204Pb are 34.19 - 41.66. The ratio of barite 34S isotope are change between ‰ +17.5 and ‰ +30.7. Based on all these findings; It can be said that the origin of this mineralization can be formed in the hydrothermal and epithermal phases.
