Research for green spaces in Eskişehir city center, using remote sensing and geographical information systems

The settlement areas are getting developed by the density ofpopulation and the balance with the biological environment is gettingdestructed day by day. In this kind of environment happiness andhealth of people depend on the development of socio-economicsituation and the green spaces which are enough to cover the needs.Open and green spaces should meet the needs of people.In this study, the presence of the open and the green areas inthe center of Eskişehir was determined by using different methods ofremote sensing and their suffiencies were analyzed by usinggeographical informational systems.Keywords: Green Spaces, Remote Sensing, GeographicalInformational Systems.
