Ill ABSTRACT Researching Of Production Wastes Of Boiax And Boric Acid Fabrics Of Etibank In Bandırma Are Able To Used In Glaze Composition (1000°C-1200°C) Ercan DURAL Department of Ceramics Social Sciences Institude of Anadolu University December, 1998 Adviser: Assistant Professor Soner Genç The glaze is glasslike layer which is melted at a known heat, and covered the surfaces of ceramic works. The raw materials with clear and good property are lowered because of some reasons such as using with uncontrolled reserves of mine are some to the depletion level, so it's known that their prices are increased. Therefore evaluating of wastes of fabrics which are produced the raw material of ceramic were getting importance. In this study, the production wastes of Borax and Boric Acid fabrics of Etibank in Bandırma are researched to be able to used in glaze composition (1000°C-1200°C). In scope of thesis topic, the fabrics production wastes of business were evaluated as a glaze raw material in different glaze composition. The raw materials such as [Sodium Feldspat, Ulexit, Red Leat, White Uşak Kaolin, Dolomite, Boric Asit (LAROX) Waste, Boric Asit (VAKUM) Waste, Borax Waste] which were used in triangle diagrams for preparing of glaze compositions were benefit from blends which were different rates. The glaze composition which were occured by these blend rates were presented as triangle diagrams at the research and were tried by fired in 1000°C and 1200°C. To the glaze composition which were chosen after the result of these experiments were added oxides which can give colour, such as cobalt oxide, copper oxide, man ganese oxide, chromium oxide, iron oxide and were made colorful.
