Abstract (EN)
As global population goes up and the technology improves, the energy demand increases globally with each passing day. The use of available energy resources more efficiently and exploration of alternative energy sources have become the defining economical and environmental issue of our times due to exhaustible fossil fuel resources, deterioration of ecological balance resulting from environmental pollution and increasing in the cost of energy. The idea of generating energy from biomass resources has enabled to expose more ecological and cost-effective energy resources, thereby mitigating the emissions of vehicle-based gases. Bioethanol can be used in vehicles at certain ratios together with petrol. The use of gasoline-bioethanol mixtures in vehicles can largely reduce the use of fossil fuel and the emmission of greenhouse gases. In this survey, an alternative camshaft for a single-cylinder petrol engine was manufactured. For both camshafts, the effects of ethanol-gasoline mixture fuels (E0, E10, E20, E30 and E40) at different proportions on engine performance and exhaust emission values have been experimentally explored. It has concluded that ethanol-containing fuels reduce exhaust emissions for both camshafts, increase fuel consumption at high speeds and decrease engine power.
