The importance of the journal of the Soviet Turkologia in etymological research

The aim of the thesis, entitled as "The Importance of The Journal of TheSoviet Turkologia in Etymological Research" is to provide Turkologyscientists with a reference source through giving information on the articleson etymology and translating them into Turkish.The thesis consists of two main parts: ?A General Outlook on TurkologyStudies in Russia" and "The Significance of The Journal of Soviet Turkologiain Etymology Studies".In the first part, it is mentioned that Turkology studies in Russia startingfrom the period of Peter I, and particularly profound studies, have gainedmomentum during the Soviet era. At the same time, along with providinggeneral information about The Journal of Soviet Turkology published duringthe Soviet period, a general outlook is provided on the Turkology scientists ofthe time and the themes of the research papers in the journal.In the second part, along with backround on etymology studies in TheJournal of Soviet Turkology, enclosed is the translation of those studies.The significance of the conducted research is discussed in theConclusion section.
