In four tirals, effects of plant extracts onoocyst output, lesion scoring, body weight gain, feed intake and feed efficiency wereevaluated. The inoculant used in the trials was comprise 32% E. tenella, 32%E. acervulina,18% E. burunetti and 18% E. maxima in a dose of 47,000 sporulatedoocyst/birds.In the first and second trials, 16 birds (Ross 308 male broilers chicks) wereused in each treatment group, while 17 birds were used in the third and fourth trials. In the first and second trials, Origanum vulgare, Thymus vulgaris, Syzygiumaromaticum, Zingiber officinale were used as plant extrcats at 400 ppm. In the thirdtrial, the best combinations (O. vulgare ve Z. officinale in 1:1 (w/w) at 200 and 300ppm) obtained in the first and second trial was used. In the last trials, the bestcombination obtained in the third experiment was used from the first day of age or 12th days of age against the anticoccidial (30 ppm robenidine) in inoculated oruninoculated birds. In all trials, besides the above plant extracts, Yucca schidigeraextracts was used at 120 ppm for the groups receiving plant extract. The bestcombinations is 400 ppm O. vulgare and 120 ppm Y. schidigera was used from firstday. In conclusion, plant extracts tested in the present study could have a potential tochallenge coccidiosis and could replace anticoccidials. Keywords: Broilers, coccidiosis, oocyst output, performance, plant extractsII
