Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to interpret the geographical distribution of Roma (Gypsy) ethnos in Antalya province, their socio-cultural characteristics, demographic structures, educational situations, historical adventures, economic levels and geographical viewpoints on how to solve the problems of space in Antalya. This ethno group's viewpoints of the people of Antalya will be discussed with the ethnic perceptions of the people of Antalya. It will also be illuminated the problems that the Roma ethnos are faced in education, health, social, cultural and economic environment, as well as how these problems are generated, and how solutions can be developed. The advantages and disadvantages of the Roma in terms of the provinces and districts of Antalya will be examined and solutions will be sought. Roma in the province of Antalya have gathered in certain neighborhoods and district centers and have adopted a closed lifestyle in their social lives. In general they reject their own identity (Roman). They fit into groups with ethnic groups living on the premises or with groups that are located on the majority of the spaces. There are no non-ethnic groups in the places where they live, and their communication with people not involved in their ethnic group is not very strong. It has been determined that they continue to settle in certain areas in central districts of Antalya. But there are scattered settlements in the districts of Antalya. The data obtained in this process will be analyzed and transferred to the ArcGIS program and baseline data bases will be produced to generate the necessary maps. So that the information about the place will be analyzed and interpreted. Keywords: Gypsies, Antalya, Ethnography
