Abstract (EN)

This research is a descriptive study conducted to examine sports scientists' awareness of traditional sports games in the context of Ethnosport events. The research population consists of sports scientists working in different provinces, while the sample group comprises 154 sports scientists (44 women, 110 men) selected on a voluntary basis. The "Traditional Sports Awareness Scale," prepared by the researchers, was used as the data collection tool in the study. The SPSS 22.0 program was used for data analysis. The obtained data were coded and analyzed on a computer. Since the data were found to be normally distributed, parametric tests were used. Descriptive statistics and percentage frequency analyses were performed. The independent samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were applied to determine the differences between the independent variables, and the numerical data obtained were presented in tables and interpreted. The significance level was set at p<0.05. The results of the study showed that sports scientists had high average scores in terms of their awareness of traditional sports games in the context of Ethnosport events.
