Abstract (EN)

Fat metabolism problems and their relationship with steroid hormones or vice versa are among the most common problems experienced by men who have problems with the content of these hormones. The aim of this thesis is to measure the concentration of testosterone, E2, lipids and some biochemical markers in men with type 2 diabetes and to evaluate the effect of lipid metabolism on testosterone and E2. In this study, 130 samples were taken from patients with type 2 diabetes. The concentration of testosterone, E2, lipids and some biochemical markers were measured. Group A: consisted of 60 control group, Group B: consisted of 70 type 2 diabetes mellitus. According to this; age was not statistically significant. In contrast, weight had a clear effect on changes in testosterone levels. Because the study included people with type 2 diabetes, their average was higher. Testosterone levels were very clearly affected, unlike Esterodel-2, which did not show any change in its levels. The lipid profile, especially total lipids and triglycerides, had a very clear statistical significance and their effects on testosterone levels were demonstrated.
