Abstract (EN)

This study has been applied to determine the effectiveness of a comprehensive intervention program for pre-adolescents with conduct disorder (CD) symptoms. In the study, a quasi-experimental design with experimental and control groups, pre-test and post-test measurements was used to determine the effectiveness of the comprehensive intervention program. The intervention program prepared within the scope of the study is a comprehensive program based on the theoretical background of cognitive and positive psychology, designed in an experimental order, and containing separate applications for adolescents and parents. With this program, it is aimed to reduce the symptoms of conduct disorder, which have serious negative consequences for the child, family, school and society, and to develop more functional behaviors in adolescents. The group of this study consists of pre-adolescents between the ages of 12 and 14 who study at a secondary school in Kadıköy district of Istanbul. In the study, a total of 66 people were included in three experimental groups, 33 of which were pre-adolescents and one of their parents. In order to measure the change in conduct disorder symptoms, Children Aggression Scale Parents Form, Buss and Perry Aggression Scale (BPAS), Irregular Behavior Scale, Vanderbilt Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder Family Assessment Scale (VADHD- FAS) was used. According to the results of the research, a significant decrease in the symptoms of CD was found in the experiment 1 and experiment 2 groups. In addition, intervention to adolescents and their parents to reduce symptoms of CD was found to be more effective than intervening only in adolescents, while excluding parents and applying program only with children did not yield significant results. Considering that the number of studies on the treatment of conduct disorders in our country is low, the findings obtained at the end of the study will be a guide for new studies. Key Words: Conduct disorder, cognitive psychology, positive psychology.
