Evaluation of soil properties and plant growth parameters in Çankiri Necmettin Erbakan park

In this study, soil properties (texture, pH, EC, lime, organic matter, phosphorus and potassium), plant leaf nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, manganese and zinc) and plant growth parameters in Çankırı Necmettin Erbakan Park were determined and the results obtained were evaluated. In the study area, 15 trees (Prunus dulcis, Fraxinus excelsior, Robinia pseudoacacia, Aesculus hippocastanum, Eleagnus angustifolia, Populus alba, Morus alba, Crataegus monogyna, Ailanthus altissima, Thuja orientalis, Cupressocyparis leylandii, Pinus nigra, Cedrus libani, Picea pungens, Cupressus arizonica) 4 small trees and shrubs (Rosa canina, Syringa vulgaris, Photinia x fraseri ''Red Robin'', Juniperus sabina) and clinging species (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) were recorded. According to the results of the analysis, 20 plant species preferred as landscape material were examined in terms of their soil and climate demands, their suitability for Necmettin Erbakan Park was evaluated, and thus suggestions were presented.
