Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to reveal the conditions (diagnosis, treatment) of surgical cases in avians with descriptive information. The study material consisted of 125 domestic and wild avians of different ages, sexes, species and races brought to Adnan Menderes University Veterinary Faculty Surgery Department clinics. Diagnoses (definite, suspicious, symptomatic, etc.) of the animals, whose routine clinical examinations (history, inspection, palpation, percussion, auscultation, etc. diagnostic methods and appropriate auxiliary diagnostic methods) were performed, were made and their diseases were classified. Medical or operative treatments applied according to the classified disease diagnoses were recorded. Possible patients (who need follow-up and/or the patient's owner allows cooperation) were followed up. It is hoped that the study not only reveals the etiology and clinical manifestations of surgical cases in avians, but also includes information about their diagnosis and treatment, will contribute primarily to poultry and their owners, then to Veterinarians and the avian industry.
