Abstract (EN)
Beginning from their first occurrence on the Earth, people have needed shelters to protect themselves from natural phenomenons. In the first ages, the humanity occupied caves and other types of natural formations in which they lived in them as spaces so as to protect themselves from natural phenomenons. Those spaces were not only used for protection as they also operated as the privacy spaces. Various generations had dwelled together in those spaces as they also experienced hardships of life together, too. Once the humanity passed to settled life, their lifestyles also changed. By utilization of natural materials, in order to protect themselves from natural events, human beings constructed the first models of houses. Similar to primitive shelters, those houses were used as privacy zones that provided protection from natural phenomenons. Via technological advancements and advent of the Industrial Revolution, tremendously effective changes emerged in daily lives of people. Cities became centers of mass production. In next phases of time, new changes occurred in the world. Those changes led to new alterations and transformations in art, architecture, design and so on. Changes occurring in the world affected how the term, house, was imagined as well as other disciplines. Dependent on the changes occurred in different times, diverse concepts for the term, house, were introduced.
