Abstract (EN)
In this study, the relationship between the perceived sexual satisfaction of married individuals and infidelity, the effect of marriage types on sexual satisfaction and the relationship between marriage types and intention to infidelity were investigated. The sample of the research consists of 203 married individuals between the ages of 24-62 living in Turkey and accessed through various social media platforms. In the research, "Sociodemographic Form" to determine the socio-demographic characteristics of individuals, "Marital Typology Scale (MTS)" to determine the types of marriage, "The Golombok-Rust Inventory of Sexual Satisfaction (GRISS)" to determine the sexual satisfaction of married individuals, different for women and men, and to learn the tendency of individuals to cheat. "Intentions Towards Infidelity Scale" was used. SPSS program was used in the analysis of the data, Independent Groups t-Test, Mann Whitney U, ANOVA and Kruskal Wallis U Test were used in the analysis. Pearson Correlation Analysis was used for the relationships between these variables. According to the results of the research, the sexual satisfaction of women negatively predicts their intention to infidelity. No significant results were obtained in terms of men's intentions for sexual satisfaction and infidelity. As for the effect of marriage types on infidelity, it was determined that the Traditional Type and Related Autonomous Types negatively affected the Intention to Infidelity, but no significant results were obtained in the Autonomous marriage types.
