Examination of passages selected from the cello parts of basic orchestral repertory for the purpose of sight playing training

This study is aimed on the examination of sight reading of orchestral parts in undergraduate students' cirriculums in Cello Division of Strings Instrument Major at Anadolu University State Conservatory. Participants of the study are also students in the same division. The high number of works in orchestral repertoire aimed this study to a certain frame, so works were selected with an expert from the content of orchestral repertoire course. The research was benefited from the views of experts in examination of camera recordings. Also an observation form was created for faster and more reliable examination. Passages were interpreted through descriptive analysis on prepared performance analysis tables to examine the images evaluated by a researcher and two experts on common ground.
