Abstract (EN)

Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the color stability of two different 3D printing resin blocks, a CAD/CAM resin nanoceramic block and a nanohybrid composite resin after long-term exposure to coffee. Material and Method: Resin nanoceramic CAD/CAM block (Group CS, Cerasmart, GC Europe), resin composite (Group CME, Clearfil Majesty Esthetic, Kuraray), and two different 3D printing resins (Group VS, VarseoSmile Crown plus, BEGO and Group SC, Crowntec (CT,Saremco), SaremcoDental AG) were used in this study. A total of 80 disk-shaped samples were prepared, 20 samples of each material with a diameter of 8 mm and a thickness of 2 mm. The samples were immersed in coffee solution for 45 minutes each day for 30 days. The coffee solution refreshed every day. The samples were kept in distilled water for the rest of the day. Color change was recorded by the same observer with a spectrophotometer (VITA Easyshade® Advance V, Vita Zahnfabrik, Bad Sackingen, Germany) at the end of day 1, week 1, week 2 and month 1. CIELa*b* color system was used to determine color difference. Data were evaluated with one-way ANOVA statistical analysis. Tukey tests was used as post hoc tests. p significance value was accepted as <0.05. Results: At the end of day 30, the least color change was found in Group VS (ΔE=4.69), while the most color change was in Group CS (ΔE=5.60). There was no statistically significant difference between the groups (p=0.69). Conclusions: The color change of 3D printed resins was similar to CAD/CAM nanohybrid ceramic CAD/CAM blocks and composit resin. However, the color change in all groups was above the clinically acceptable value (ΔE>1.8). More studies are needed for 3D printers and additive manufacturing resins. Keywords: 3D printer, CAD/CAM, composite resin, staining
