Abstract (EN)
In presented study, 26 basins of Turkey and at least one annual flow of stream gaging stations ( SGS ) represented basins are evaluated. The best fitted probability distribution functions to use for annual flow series for all selected stream gaging stations ( SGS ) are investigated. Normal and lognormal distributions parameters are determined for all investigated annual flow series; and testing the goodness of fit with Chi-square, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, probability plot correlation test end entropy criterion are examined. The new entropy method was also used for testing the goodness of fit and the results are compared with other methods. Results show that entropy is appropriate method for testing the goodness of fit.
