Abstract (EN)

Water is an important part of life and nature. Water requirement increases with population growth and industrialization. Earth has ¾ covered with water, but water must have a quality to use from people. Heavy metals threat the water and around of natural life. Removal of heavy metals from water is important for protection of ecological systems. For this purpose, adsorption is an effective method for wastewater treatment. The economy of the adsorption, its depends on adsorbent costs. High cost of production and the operation, we must search for alternative adsorbents. In this study; evaluate two other waste in the waste water of industrial waste and respect to the adsorptive properties have been studied. The purpose of this study; For heavy metals in waste water, adsorption like as zinc and cadmium we study for the low cost adsorbent. Diffrent from the other studies, fly ash ( Çatalağzı, Orhaneli, Seyitömer, Tunçbilek ) binding ( diatomite and / or rice husk ) with contributions after pelletizing, to investigate the possibility of use. The fly ash from thermal power plants providing the best results from the characterization of fly ash is made Seyitömer. From these regions received fly ash. After completion adsorbent material , i.e., fly ash, the surface area and porosity , so absorbance to increase , the fly ash and binder ( diatomite , molasses and / or rice hulls) was added and was pelletized . Then, the pellets prepared, were baked in order to increase strength. The final stage of absorbance capacity we added various additives and pelleted. After that we compared another adsorbant and adsorption capacity. Pellets which use in adsorption experiments, we take samples from waste water and its send to ICP-OES insturment. As a result, rice husk pellets have a negative result, rice husks could not stand high temperatures, are melted. The temperature applied during baking trials pellets 950°C and 1100°C experiments show negative result. But, 1200°C high temperature optimum was found. Further studies have been favorable in terms of keeping the pellets. Changes ratio of diatomite and molassesand and uses fly ashes from different regions, we see that Zn and Cd adsorption from waste water. The optimum result of fly ashes we take Seyitömer. The first study, Seyitömer study of samples taken up 10 g, 0, 0.1, 0.5 and 1 g of diatomite and 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 mL rates of the pellets of molasses and minor amounts of Zn adsorbed showed. The second study fly ash Seyitömer use 10 g and 0, 0.1, 0.5 and 1 g diatomite and different ratios ( 0.25, 0.50 and 0.75 mL) using molasses in the study of Cd solution for fly ash Seyitömer adsorption and ICP analysis it was found that up to 52% according to the results of the adsorption process. Finally; the second study more succesful than the first study. Keywords: Water and environmental pollution, adsorption, heavy metals, fly ash pelletizing, diatomite, molasses
