Abstract (EN)

In this study, metal organic frameworks were synthesized with hyrothermal/ solvothermal method and ionothermal assisted by ultrasonic method. Then their usage as adsorbent and catalyst were studied. In adsorption experiments, aromatic organic compounds including toluene and nitrobenzene and dyes such as methyl orange and methyl red adsorption experiments were investigated. The effects of the parameters such as initial concentration, contact time, adsorbent dosage, and temperature on the adsorption capacity were investigated for the determination of the best fit adsorption isotherm, adsorption kinetics, adsorption thermodynamics, and equilibrium time. In esterification part of the study, chemically stable MOF structures were sulfonated and used as catalyst in esterification reactions of acetic acid. With using metal organic frameworks as catalysts, high conversions were obtained in the production of esters which are among the most important chemical products. In esterification reaction, the effects of different parameters such as alcohol, temperature, sulfonation, reusability, catalyst loading, alcohol to acid molar ratio were investigated. And experiments without catalyst were also carried out to elaborate the performance of the catalyst.
