Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the physical and comfort properties and burning behaviors of yarns produced with meta aramid, para aramid and FR viscose fibers in different blending ratios and knitting fabrics made from that yarns. For this purpose ten different yarns were produced in two different linear density with five different blending ratios which are frequently used in the production of flame resistant fabrics. The physical (linear density, twist, moisture values, unevenness, hairiness) and strength properties of these yarns were tested according to the standards thereafter those knitting fabrics were produced with these yarns. The produced knitting fabrics were tested according to the standards for strength and elongation properties (bursting strength, elongation at break), comfort properties (air permeability, moisture permeability, thermal conductivity). The obtained test results were analyzed statistically on SPSS programme. The fabrics were evaluated visually according to the data obtained after burning tests. The results of this study indicate statistically that the effects of meta aramid, para aramid and FR viscose fibers blending ratio is significant for strength, moisture, uneveness properties of yarns and strength, comfort properties of fabrics. It was observed that the strength values of yarns and fabrics increased as the ratio of aramid fiber in the blending increased and the moisture permeability, air permeability and thermal permeability properties of fabrics which contain aramid blends were close to the moisture permeability, air permeability and thermal permeability properties of fabrics containing FR viscose. The highest mass loss value was determined in the fabrics which containing FR viscose as the result of the burning test.
