Abstract (EN)
Root canal treatment is the cleaning, shaping and filling of the root canal system. Today, gutta-percha and root canal filling pastes are used together for this treatment. After filling the root canals, the root canal system is closed to prevent the entry and exit of bacteria. After irrigation of the root canal, filling all anatomical irregularities in three dimensions is crucial for the success of root canal treatment. If the root canal filling cannot be done adequately, the chance of success of the treatment decreases. For this purpose, the root canal filling material called gutta-percha is used in combination with various root canal sealers with different contents. AH Plus, an epoxy resin-based root canal sealer, is considered the gold standard due to its antibacterial activity, superior physical properties and high bonding strength to root dentin. Calcium silicate based cements are used in perforation repair, endodontic surgery, pulp capping and regenerative endodontics due to their biocompatibility, non-toxicity, dimensional stability and not degrading in the biological environment. Based on the superior physical and biological properties of these cements, new types of calcium silicate based pastes have been developed. These developed sealers showed superior physical properties, sufficient biocompatibility, high bond strength, minimal color change and superior sealing. AH Plus Bioceramic is one of the newly developed sealers with these features. After final irrigation, it is advised to dry the root canal prior to obturation, and various protocols have been developed for this purpose. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of protocols applied to dry the root canals following the use of final irrigation solutions during root canal treatment and the effects of calcium silicate and epoxy resin based root canal sealer on the dentin bond strength in repeated root canal treatments. The null hypothesis is that different drying protocols have no statistically significant effect on the dentin bond strength of the two sealers in repeated root canal treatments.
